Weekend cooking course.
Arrive from 4 pm Friday and dinner will be served at 8 pm
Saturday morning we will visit the market in the historic town of Falaise We will return with our local produce needed for the weekend cooking.
We will learn to make a simple french style lunch then after a little rest time, we will begin to prepare our 4 course Dinner for the evening.
Dinner will start with an aperitif at about 7 pm while we finish any last-minute preparations. You will be free to help with the service part of the preparation to bring the meal together and presentation skills
Sunday morning we prepare and share another lunch before you leave in the afternoon.
You can book for a single person room or a couple sharing. It is also possible to come as a couple with a non-cooking partner
We can cater for all different dietary requirement The idea is the have a fun-filled week cooking and sharing together in a farmhouse setting. We aim to make you feel like you are preparing a meal with friends in a relaxed but informative atmosphere. Our Farmhouse is situated in a small village near Falaise in Fresne-la-Mere. Under the guidance of the chef Peter Stevens you will produce some classic french dishes including pastry techniques, sauce making, salad dressings, preparing and cooking fish and meat. Our area is most famous for dairy produce (were only 30 minutes from Camembert), cider and Calvados. (The cider route is within an hours drive)
All our menus will reflect the seasonal produce found in the market and local farm produce.
