4-day cooking course
Arrival from 4 pm on Monday giving you time to settle in before the 4-course dinner served at 8 pm. Tuesday to Thursday breakfast is served from 8 – 10 am and the cooking course starts at 11 am. We will cook together for approximately 2 hours and then eat our creations altogether at about 1 pm. You have free time after lunch to explore the area until dinner is served at 8 pm. Friday morning departure after breakfast.
All meals with drinks are also included.
We will use the 3 days of cooking to prepare classic French dishes using local products.
We can cater for any of your dietary requirement as long as stated in advance.
The idea is the have a fun-filled week cooking and sharing together in a farmhouse setting. We aim to make you feel like you are preparing a meal with friends in a relaxed but informative atmosphere. Our Farmhouse is situated in a small village near Falaise in Fresne-la-Mere. Under the guidance of the chef Peter Stevens you will produce some classic french dishes including pastry techniques, sauce making, salad dressings, preparing and cooking fish and meat. Our area is most famous for dairy produce (were only 30 minutes from Camembert), cider and Calvados. (The cider route is within an hours drive)
We have a maximum of 6 people in the kitchen at once and we are here to help and explain and share our experiences of living in the French countryside with you
During your free time, there is an enormous amount of places to visit in Normandy. We are happy to advise you on these and in our guest lounge, there is lots of information available there for you.
